Shearing Characteristics of Mortar–Rock Binary Medium Interfaces with Different Roughness

This study focuses on the crucial role of shear characteristics mortar–rock interface (MRI) in geotechnical engineering. These properties largely determine effectiveness engineering reinforcement measures such as anchoring and grouting. The mechanical deformation MRI with different roughness will be investigated. To achieve this, an indoor direct test was conducted binary medium (MRBM). numerically modeled from data using finite difference fractional value software. Direct simulation by changing normal stress (σn) sawtooth angle (α) carried out. results showed that increased, stiffness also increased. found to have a linear relationship both angle. peak displacement identified indirect indicator failure mode (BMI). Quantitative relationships between strength (τ), cohesion (c), internal friction (ϕ), residual (τr), (ϕr ), degradation rate BMI were established based two influencing factors.
